Why are my trips not being logged?

Check tracking settings and recover a missing drive with Refresh Trips.

If a drive is missing, check whether tracking was paused, confirm background location access, and try Refresh Trips for the date of the drive.

  1. Open Mileage Quest and check your Work Period and Vacation Mode settings. A scheduled break or paused tracking can affect which drives appear.
  2. In your phone’s settings, find Mileage Quest’s location permission. For automatic background tracking, allow location access when the app is not open. On iPhone, choose Always. On Android, choose the option that allows location access all the time. Also make sure location services are turned on for the phone.
  3. In Mileage Quest, open Trips, tap Refresh Trips, select the date, and tap OK. If the app finds unsaved trips, it displays a “Trip(s) created” message. Review and complete the details for each trip that appears.
  4. If the drive still does not appear, create a trip manually so your mileage record is complete.

If this keeps happening, contact Support. Include the date and approximate time of a missing drive, your phone model, iOS or Android version, app version, and whether Refresh Trips found anything. Do not send your password.
